Are representations of American high school romantic movies as in real life? What I mean is, countless movies, series and shows all focus on lifestyle and the hierarchy in High School. Also seems to me (as a Briton to 28 years), what happens in high school (grades, Proms, cars, etc.) seems to partially define the lives of Americans. Furthermore, it is High-School, as segregated as it is done? As in, people refuse to talk to the really popular nerd? Thanks in advance
